Chapter 44

They took a long, hot shower together and Jon really had to stop himself from teasing her again. He was sure her body needed some time to recover.

After the shower they tried to decide what to order for breakfast and ended up with a huge selection from the menu. Jon thought they would never finish the fruit salad, Bagels, Croissants, English Muffins, Buttermilk Pancakes and different variation of eggs. But after three long hours even the last drop of fresh orange juice and coffee was gone.

“I’m glad you are eating again.” Jon told her while they were resting comfortable on the couch in the open living room.

“When I don’t feel well, I can’t eat.” She told him softly. “And then I lose weight terribly fast. After my parents died they had to put on IV, I couldn’t bring anything down even though I knew I had to.”

Jon watched her a little worried and shocked. He never expected her to react that strong.

“Then I better look out for you.” He squeezed her shoulder gently. She turned her head and smiled at him.

“I would say you are already doing a pretty good job.” Jon chuckled softly.

“Well, thank you.” He paused shortly. “What would you like to do today? We have a dinner reservation tonight, but until then we are free.”

“Hmmm….I would really like to explore the surroundings at bit, you know the lake…but a nice massage would be great as well.”

“Well, I’m sure we can do both. How about I asked for a spa treatment and then we see about the lake. We still have tomorrow before we are flying back in the evening.” Jon suggested.

“Sounds great.”

Jon got up and called the reception. “I think it’s better we get the massage in our lodge.” He told the receptionist. Kim nodded agreeing. “Ok, great. Thanks.”

“Apparently everybody wants massage this morning. So we got to wait about three hours.” He told Kim. She checked her watch. It was still early. They got up with the sunrise and now had the complete day for exploring.

“Well, then let’s check out the lake already.” She said and grabbed her camera. Smiling Jon followed her outside.

They strolled around on the private property and Kim took great pictures. When they were half around the lake Jon stopped her.

“We need to get back when we want our massage.” Kim sighed and looked wistful at the hills and the other side of the lake.

“I’ll promise we check out the rest tomorrow.” Jon said and wrapped his arms around her.

He figured out rather fast that his girl loved to take pictures and he wondered what was wrong with him that he was again in love with a woman who was doing karate, loved photography and was giving a damn about is fame and money.

“Ok.” Kim agreed and hand in hand they walked back to their lodge.

Just after they entered there was a discrete knock on the door and the two women who would massage them arrived.

“Where would you like to get your massage inside or outside on the deck?” they asked. Jon grinned.

“Outside would be great.” He couldn’t resist teasing Kim. She wanted to protest but remembered that they had already been naked on the deck today.

They changed into the fluffy bathrobes and took their places on each of the massage lounges. Kim watched carefully how the girl was working on Jon and she couldn’t help it, but jealousy was rising in her. Not that she was touching him where she shouldn’t but that woman had her hands on HER  man!

Jon opened his eyes and saw her staring at him. He looked at her questioning and nearly laughed out loud when her eyes narrowed and she followed each of the woman’s moves.

She was jealous! He couldn’t believe it.

“Miss, am I doing something wrong? Would you like me do use another technic? You don’t seem able to relax.” The girl who was working on her back suddenly asked.

“Uhm…no, it’s fine. I just need to get my head free.” She assured her. Jon grinned and reached out for her hand. She grabbed it appreciative.

“Close your eyes, honey.” He said and his thumb gently caressed the inside of her hand.

She took a deep breath and tried to thing about nothing. After a couple of minutes she was totally relaxed and sleepy. Jon smiled when he saw her steady breathing and indicated to the two women to be quite while leaving when they were done.

He covered her bare back with a soft thin sheet so she wouldn’t get sunburn and sat down next to her. She looked so sweet and innocent. Nothing showed the busy doctor right now. She wasn’t wearing her serious and professional doctor face, she was just Kimi right now…his Kimi, who finally trusted him completely.

He sighed and carefully ran his hand through her long blond hair. God, he loved her so much. He couldn’t imagine a life without her anymore, but he knew that he couldn’t rush her into anything. The next couple months would be hard on both of them with the Tour coming up and him being away for so long. He had to admit he was a little worried that she might not be able to deal with it and he prayed that she wouldn’t break up with him after that experience.

After watching her sleep for a while and thinking about their possible future together, he realized he needed to wake her up. They had a reservation in two hours and she probably needed some time to get ready.

“Kimi.” He leaned forwards and kissed her cheek. “Kimi, wake up.” 

His hand ran through her hair lovingly. She stirred and tried to roll over. He jumped up and prevented her from following of the lounge. Frightened she opened her eyes and blinked disorientated in the bright sunlight.

“What? Where am I?” she asked with a husky voice.

“Still on the deck, honey.” Jon helped her to sit up and she leaned her back against his chest.

“Did I fall asleep?” she asked and stretched lightly. Jon wasn’t able to answer right way. His eyes were glued to her breasts which were exposed by her movement.

“Uhm…yeah…yeah, you did.” He finally answered. Kim chuckled and pulled the sheet up again.

“We should get ready for dinner, right?” She asked and jumped of the lounge.

“Yeah, I thought you might want to shower again after the massage.”

“You were right. Give me some time and you’ll be able to show up in public with me again.” She kissed him quickly and tried to rush off into the bathroom, but he held her back.

“I can always show up with you in public…” he pulled at the sheet and it pooled to the floor. “…actually I can really show off with you.” He said and kissed her deeply, while pulling her close.
